Doofer Media Player with Real Time Updates

A full AS3 flash player based off the JWPlayer. The concept and technology backing this interface is quite astonishing. Speech to Voice technology allows users to post to blogs over via the phone and 3G video calls let users post videos and rich media. The played is updated in real time over the STOMP protcol.

All this is thrown together in Flash to provided a dinky little app. It really needs to built from the ground up as JWPlayer isn’t really cut out for some the media being displayed. Still, I imagine this type of service will be standard quite soon. Facebook is getting close.

Photography website produced in AS2

This was the last site I produced in AS2. Mark has some understanding of Flash and was happy controlling the content via XML files. The site is quite easy to maintain and organizes over 100 photos into different categorys. I like the menu on this site and the random colours it generates. Check the site for some great club photography, Mark is very talented.

Lorenz, Rossler and Duffing strange attractors rendered in Away3D controlled by Flex.

Math can be beautiful. These chaotic strange attractors can produce some beautiful patterns. Done in Flex with Away3D and using three different attractors: Lorenz, Rossler and Duffing. The math is quite easy once you get your head round it. The wiki pages just make it look difficult. Use the mouse to view the attractor in 3D and mess about with the different variables at the side to create some of your own patterns.

A 3 by 5 random 2D array is mirrored to a five by five array which is then translated to 3D via Away3D. These objects are similar to the little fellas seen in the space invaders game of arcade lore. Easy to to do and a little bit of fun.
