Minamix Advert

This advert appeared in Osakas clubbing magazine Minamix. The text is a list off the nightclubs in Osaka and the text translates “Search it, Party it” or something loosely along those lines. Each letter was individually coloured and produced in illustrator. QR code in the bottom left.

Not much to say about this one but I thought it looked pretty cool as a placeholder. Any coming soon / under-construction replacing content on a site is a very poor practice normally but my business cards had the address on and it was better than a 404

Element Earth

Producing comps like these are lots of fun but require good stock to shine. Still the effect is very crisp and the grass texture was a good find. With lots of dodging and burning it came pretty well. I need to get a stock photography account so very badly. The shape is the ideogram for earth or soil/dirt.

The horror of Web2.0. So many speech bubble logos are out there but I must admit I’d only really seen RealPlayer and Adobe use this one. Still, I quite like it even if it is cliched to hell.
